Evenwood War Memorials

There are 4 memorials:

  1. Evenwood Working Mens’ Club Roll of Honour: This names 10 members who died.
  2. St. Paul’s Church: Roll of Honour: Originally placed in the Comrades’ Hall and unveiled November 1921 by Mr. John Lowson and Rev. R.E. Ragg, it names 37 Evenwood men who fell in the war.
  3. Evenwood War Memorial: The Evenwood & Barony Parish Council commissioned the new War Memorial which is located on open space in front of Devonshire Place at the entrance to Newholme Crescent.  It names all Great War men who were killed and some additional names from WW2 not commemorated on the existing memorial in the cemetery.  It was unveiled c.2013.
  4. Evenwood War Memorial: located in Evenwood cemetery, the memorial was unveiled 20 June 1921 and commemorates 48 men of Evenwood, Ramshaw and Lands.  They are listed alphabetically below:
