Edmund BYERS 1921 – 1942

1040977 Leading Aircraftman Edmund Byers, Royal Air Force Voluntary Reserve died 10 July 1942 aged 20.  He is buried in St. Catherine’s [Victoria Lawn] Cemetery, Niagara Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada, [1] commemorated on the West Auckland War Memorial and the Memorial to the Church Lads Brigade in St. Helen’s Church.

Family Details

Edmund Byers was born 1921 [2] the son of John and Mary Byers and brother to Joan.  In 1939, the family lived at 5 Irene Terrace, West Auckland and John worker as a farmer and general blacksmith.[3]
