Family Details

Robert was born in 1923,[2] the son of Robert and Ivy Clarke and brother to John and Jane.  In 1939, the family lived at 21 Salisbury Terrace, Bishop Auckland where John senior worked as a colliery surface labourer.  Robert is not recorded as living here.  Previously, in 1901 John lived at Chapel Street and Johnson Terrace, West Auckland.
