Trooper Frederick CLOSE

554996 Trooper F. CLOSE, Royal Armoured Corps, 3rd King’s Own Hussars was killed in action 12 March 1941.  He was 27 years old.  He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial at Column 16 and the Cockfield War Memorial.  To date, I have not located his family however, my contacts within the Close family are working on it.
