Gunner T.W. LAMB

Thomas William Lamb was born 19 January 1914, the son of Robert and Hannah Lamb.  There were at least 3 children, another being John born 2 September 1920.  In 1939, the family lived at 33 the Slack, Butterknowle.  Robert and Thomas both worked as coal miners and John as a forestry worker.

1679660 Gunner T.W. Lamb, Royal Artillery, 209 Battery, 73 HAA. Regiment died 1 February 1941 aged 27 and is buried at grave reference Row S.W. Grave.14, Lynesack [St. John] Churchyard.  He is commemorated on Butterknowle War Memorial.
